The Stingray is an all-in-one rack-mountable DSP device that serves as an easy to install solution for integrated rooms. It utilizes Phoenix Audio’s proprietary distributed array technology, supporting multiple interfaces, inputs, and offers a built-in amplifier. Each unit mixes up to four microphone inputs, performs echo canceling, noise canceling, AGC, and other algorithms required in a conferencing room setup. The Stingray also supports four auxiliary inputs that can be reinforced for local playback. Each unit comes with four 15 watt speaker amplifiers, SIP, USB, and analog interface, supporting any kind of conferencing device.

The Stingray is an eight channel (four microphone and four line input) automatic DSP mixer for installed room applications. The number of inputs can be easily extended to support up to60 microphone inputs using the Phoenix proprietary daisy chain protocol. The Stingray is networkable and can be controlled using any device sitting on the same LAN (PC, SmartPhone, other). Each unit supports USB, SIP, and analog communication for use with VoIP, SIPclient, and Video Conferencing Codec solutions respectively.

Each Stingray is equipped with four amplified speaker outputs that can push four 8‎Ω speakers with 15Watts of power. A chain of Stingrays, which can be up to 15 units long, can be broken into any number of zones. Each zone can be assigned up to four Auxiliary or Podium microphone inputs, which can be played back in the room’s speakers using sound reinforcement.

The Stingray comes with two installation options:

  • Rack Mounting; the Stingray comes with two rack mounting brackets
  • Table Top; the Stingray can be placed on a shelf or table top

  • USB-B to USB-A cable
  • 18V power supply
  • Regional power cable
  • Two (2x) rack mounting brackets
  • Stingray Wire Removal Tool

Daisy Chaining: The ability to connect multiple units together to work as a single system. This enables larger coverage and scalability.

Dual Connectivity: Offering multiple interfaces in a single product. This feature allows the use of one product in a room that requires multiple connectivity options (audio and video conferencing).

Bridging: The ability to connect two calls from different interfaces simultaneously, making your video conferencing participants able to speak with your audio conferencing participants as well as yourself through your device.

Direction Finding: The ability to recognize the direction of the person speaking in the room.

Beamforming: The ability to steer the directionality of the device’s microphones. Beamforming improves noise and echo cancelling as well as the overall quality of the device’s pickup. This feature works in conjunction with direction finding.

Wall Mountable: This product supports a mounting system that allows you to mount it directly to the wall (most commonly behind the monitor).

      Controls On The Device:

4-Button Directional Pad and LCD Screen on Device

Online Web GUI Accessed through Network

      PHNX Connect: Controller App

      Powering Options:

External 18V Power Supply – Regional Specific

Noise Cancelling: Filters out ambient room noise such as air conditioning and background office or traffic noise

Acoustic Echo Cancellation: Prevents your microphone from transmitting the voice picked up from your speaker

Automatic Gain Control: Automatically adjusts your microphone sensitivity so that you are heard loud and clear regardless of your tone and distance from the device

De-Reverberation: Improves audio pick up quality in reverberant rooms with hard reflective surfaces such as exposed, concrete, marble, or glass walls and ceilings

Beamforming: Steering or directing an audio beam to pick up audio only from the direction of the person speaking, while canceling noise from all other directs
