Binary™ HDMI 8x8 Matrix Switch with HDMI and Single Cat5e/6 Outputs
For larger installs the B-300-HDMATRIX-8X8 uses a single Cat5e/6 output to reliably transmit HDMI signals and bi-directional IR from eight sources to eight displays – up to 130 feet, with full 1080p video and support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master audio. Whew! If you think that was a mouthful, check out the Ethernet, RS-232 control and Binary-exclusive EDID setup software.
Important Notice: To reduce video dropout problems from ceiling fans and other EMI issues, it is strongly recommended that you pull shielded CAT5e/CAT6 and use shielded RJ45 connectors with this extender product. “EZ end” connectors are not recommended for use with HDMI extenders.
Simultaneous HDMI & 1-CAT Outputs: Each output provides an HDMI output for local display(s), as well as a 1-CAT output for longer distances. Just pair the 1-CAT with the optional receiver to achieve distances up to 130 feet. Best of all, both of these outputs can be used in parallel! A great example of this is for use with a preview monitor - connect the projector via the 1-CAT and the preview monitor via HDMI.

Integration Ready w/Ethernet RS-232 and IR
To control the matrix itself, IR and bi-directional RS-232 are available. Using a more sophisticated controller? No problem – there’s an Ethernet port with Telnet support too. But the goodies don't stop there – when using the optional B-300-HDMATRIX-RCVR, the same CAT5e/6 cable that sends HDMI signals can also carry bi-directional IR to and from the room for sophisticated control system applications. For guaranteed performance, use Episode IR Products.
HDMI® 3D Compliant: If you love acronyms, this 8X8 has you covered with full support of the HDMI® 1.4 3D specification, Deep Color (36bit) and HDCP 2.0 as well as support for Dolby® True HD, Dolby® Digital Plus, DTS™-HD Master and LPCM audio formats.
EDID Management: With the incredible variety of sources and displays available, getting them all synced up can sometimes be a challenge - especially when you have to deal with confusing DIP switches. To simplify this process, the B-300-HDMATRIX EDID settings can be configured using the included remote control or convenient PC configuration utility. Three EDID modes are provided for ultimate flexibility - Auto, Embedded and Learning.
Software Toolkit: The included PC Configuration utility let's you easily manage EDID settings, test Inputs and outputs, update firmware and more.
HDCP 2.0 Key Management: Many recently released HDMI source devices only offer one HDCP key, meaning that standard HDMI switchers may only be able to pass video to a single display. This true 8X8 matrix offers full HDCP 2.0 key management - an automatic process that ensures no HDCP-compliant TV will be left in the dark, even if the source only has a single key!
Fast Switching, No Blinking: Fast switching (<3 seconds) ensures that you don't miss any of the action while waiting around for the video to sync! Plus, once a display is locked onto a source, there is no "blinking" of that display while other displays change sources.
